What is health ?what do you mean by health ?
When anybody feel fit physically and mentally this condition is known as health.
When our body is free from illness this condition is known as health.
What is hospital?
Hospital is an organisation of Public Health
or it is an institute which take care of the health and disease of people with the help of sophisticated equipment and instrument by a group of specially trained person.
Classification of hospital
*According to size
*Ownership
*System of treatment
*Specialization
According to size- there are three types of hospitals the first is small hospital and second is medium hospital and III is large Hospital. Now we describe it step by step.
1.small Hospital :-
small Hospital have one or two general ward or one or two trained staff or health ward here treatment only normal patient only treatment like first add.
In this Hospital has less than 20 words it is like PHC (Primary Health Care or Centre), APHC (additional primary Healthcare ) and HSC (health sub centre ) these are like small Hospital.
2.Medium Hospital:-
Medium Hospital a couple of doctor working there have normal test not facilities of X-rays or ultrasound 24×7 Hospital facilities are available.
It is situated in a small town like Tulsa headquarter number of beds up to 20 -200 beds have few essential work like as medicated ward, surgical ward, paediatric ward and Maternity ward these hospital work day and night.( 24 hours service).
3.Large Hospital:-
It is highly specialised Hospital with almost all facilities and they have bed strength of 100-1000.
Like as medical hospital or corporate hospital aur aur Private hospital Paras Hospital Medanta Hospital Fortis Hospital Assam Hospital and Apollo Hospital.
There are also called tertiary Hospital more than 50 doctor and 300 paramedical professional are working in three shifts.
How many types of hospitals (According to ownership)-
Hospital can be also classified according to the ownership
Private hospital and
government hospital
1.Private hospital:-
There are many Private hospital of same size it not bigger than government hospitals they are established by the trust societies and families or by individuals.
For example -Apollo group of hospital , Medanta, forties etc.
2.Government hospital
Government hospital like PHC,PHS,SHS and other government hospitals like CGHS hospitals (Central Government health scheme), Army hospitals, Railway Hospital , ESIC hospital (employee State Insurance Co-orporation Hospital) and AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science).
Many hospitals run by the central government undertaking or Corporation to serve particular group of people is ECHS( ex-serviceman contribution Health Scheme).
Now we learn about system of treatment
These groups of hospitals are those in which different system are followed for treatment. They are ayurveda hospital Siddha Hospital, Unani Hospital or homeopathy hospital.
The physician in this hospitals are educated.The physician having experience in these system and they are using medicines of this system for treatment.
Specialisation of hospital-
Hospital can also classified according to the specialisation service offered by a particular hospital for example there are many hospitals which treat only a particular part of the body or a particular disease.
